President's message:

The Big Bend Chapter of AFP is a thriving chapter of local professionals affecting positive change in our community. Our professionals strive every day to bring resources to our non-profit organizations and community.

If you are considering membership in our chapter, AFP Big Bend offers programs to meet the needs of the non-profit community and those involved in development and fundraising activities, regardless of their experience level. As an AFP member, you have access to resources and a network that can advance your career, further the cause of the organization you represent and support you as an advocate for the profession of fundraising. You have chosen the charitable community as your career, and AFP will be there to assist with every step by providing you with information on the latest trends and best practices in fundraising and by keeping you abreast of the latest legislation and regulations affecting fundraising.

Our monthly educational programs explore a variety of topics to help us all succeed and also to provide an opportunity to network with our peers.  We also dedicate one monthly program each year to   recognize the outstanding philanthropic achievements of individuals and organizations here in the Big Bend; National Philanthropy Day is celebrated in November and I encourage you nominate someone you feel is deserving of this honor.

If you would like to join or have an interest in serving on the board or on a committee, please contact any of the Board Members. I look forward to seeing you at our monthly luncheons and at National Philanthropy Day.

President
